A windswept clifftop elopement at Grand Villa Heights

On a foggy July morning, Sandie & Joe’s intimate seaside wedding at the stunning Grand Villa Heights felt like something out of a dream. With the sea mist rolling in and the wind dancing through the bay, it was touch-and-go whether their cliffside ceremony could go ahead. But just half an hour before vows were shared, the sun fought through, and the scene was set for a windswept, wild-hearted ceremony overlooking the coast.

Surrounded by just their closest family—including Daisy, Joe’s niece, who signed their certificate of approval (possibly the cutest moment of the day!)—this elopement was small, heartfelt, and full of relaxed family intimacy. From Sandie’s dad seeing her in her dress for the first time, to her mum absolutely glowing with pride, it was a day built on love in its purest form.

After confetti and celebrations, we stole a few golden hour portraits on the clifftops—wind in hair, laughter in the air, and that just-married magic in every frame.

Inside Grand Villa Heights, the reception unfolded in a beautiful space of huge picture windows, looking out across the bay—a view their guests couldn’t stop admiring.
