Get to Know Me
I'm Jo-Anna - romantic, witchy-at-heart wedding photographer based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, capturing relaxed, natural, and emotion-filled love stories across Yorkshire, the North of the UK, and beyond.
I live with my partner Aaron and our cat Paddy—he’s fluffy, opinionated, and definitely thinks he runs the show. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me elbow-deep in compost (I love gardening), making far too much cake (no regrets), or nose-deep in a book. I devour everything from witchy fiction and fantasy, to slow-burn romance, to mindful self-help reads that keep me grounded and growing.

I’m also happiest when I’m out in nature—walking, meditating, or simply soaking up the quiet with my camera in hand. Whether it’s my iPhone, my trusty Canon 5D Mark IV, or a vintage SureShot film camera, I’m always capturing the beauty in everyday moments.

My Approach to Photography
My approach to photography is intuitive, heart-led, and a little bit magical. I focus on the real stuff—the way your hands reach for each other, the shared laughter, the golden light that wraps around you just before sunset. My style is soft, romantic, and full of soul, with a deep love for honest emotion and those fleeting in-between moments you didn’t even realise were happening.
I create a calm, inclusive, and judgment-free space for all couples, especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community, and I’m a proud advocate for mental health awareness in everything I do. You deserve to feel held, heard and completely yourself throughout this journey.
While I’m rooted in Yorkshire, I regularly travel across the North of the UK and am always open to destination weddings—so if you’re planning to get married in a forest, on a beach, at a windswept mountaintop or in a crumbling castle abroad, I’m here for it.
